    Speakers:

    January 15, 2026

Rob Dinwoodie, P.Ag will walk producers through the OFCAF funding program, including how it is delivered by two different agencies, how cost-share percentages and application processes differ, and why total funding amounts remain the same regardless of delivery stream. He will outline application requirements, including plans and documentation, explain who can assist with applications, review key intake windows, and highlight why early preparation matters. This session is ideal for producers planning to apply for OFCAF funding to support Gallagher eShepherd neckbands.

Nadia Mori, P.Ag will share practical insights on grazing management using virtual fencing, with a focus on rotational grazing and real-world decision making. Drawing on lessons learned from a project in the Peace region, she will discuss what worked, what did not, and important day-to-day management considerations. Nadia will also explain how to build a grazing plan that is practical on the ground and suitable for OFCAF funding applications, and help producers assess whether different grazing approaches, including VF, may be a good fit for their operation.

Lindsay Jamieson, from Bunny Coulee Ranch, will share his experience using eShepherd neckbands on Scottish Highland cattle on his regenerative ranch in southern Alberta. He will discuss how the system has changed his cattle management, contributed to increased weight gain, allowed him to use his land more effectively and efficiently, and how he uses eShepherd for bale grazing in winter.

Adam Kubel will explain how eShepherd virtual fencing technology works in practice, including how neckbands are fitted, monitored, and managed day to day. He will also cover cost, system setup, onboarding, and ongoing support, helping producers understand what is involved in getting started and maintaining the technology over time.
